Experimental Procedures & First Results of an Innovative Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Test Rig: Parametric Analysis and Stability Test

Solid Oxide Fuel Cells are a promising technology for (SOFC) For high-efficiency electrochemical conversion of vast range fuel gas mixtures, thigh operating temperature conditions (650–900 °C) represent challenge both at system level and laboratory testing level, in terms material properties performance dynamics. In this work detailed procedural analysis is presented an innovative all-ceramic compact SOFC test rig first experimental results reported polarization curves obtained under parametric variation (H2 content, air ratio ? temperature) short-term voltage stability load (140 h 0.3 A/cm2). The characterization confirm the validity used cell holder, showing excellent performances polarization. H2 content has most impact on performance, followed by finally ratio, whose analyzed hardly seen. From test, bench setup reliability demonstrated, no significant degradation after 140 continuous hours load, which confirms high quality reproducibility results.
